A Fun Way To Learn Science

Keeping children entertained after school hours, and over the weekends, can be tricky. If you’re on the lookout for an edutaining activity, subscribe to My Discovery Lab, a monthly science subscription box based on STEAM learning

Conceptualised by Nichola Fisher, a qualified Science teacher and founder of Rock it Science (Science-themed birthday parties), these monthly at-home laboratory boxes offer everything from cool experiments to activities and investigations – all based on STEAM principles (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics).

Choose from boxes such as Blast Off! (to figure out how forces work, and explore basic principles of space discovery); Slime, Slugs and Wobbly bugs (to get their hands dirty with slime, and understand how the properties of polymers affect various materials); and Small seeds (to learn all about plant growth). The theme changes every month, and each box includes non-toxic and safe-to-use materials to conduct up to five experiments. Each box also comprises a colourful instruction booklet, facts, jokes and fun puzzles, making it a great bonding activity for parents and children.

My Discovery Lab boxes are available according to age groups: 3-5 years old, 6-9, and 10-14, with subscriptions for one, four, eight and 12-months. Free delivery to your home, schools and nurseries. From Dhs131 to Dhs173 per month, visit mydiscoverylab.com
