QE2 theatre to show Alice in Wonderland this Easter

You’d be silly to be late to this very important date…

This Easter, the QE2 will welcome a host of very special guests – namely the Cheshire Cat and White Rabbit, as a live performance of West End hit, Alice in Wonderland, comes to the Port Rashid vessel in April.

A must-see show that the whole family is sure to enjoy means this is not one to miss. Tickets for the show at Theatre by QE2 will go on sale on Monday 11 February, priced at AED 150 for adults, and AED 120 per child.

This beloved children’s tale of Alice is set to turn the QE2 into a magical wonderland. Young Alice, a girl of seven years, is feeling somewhat bored while sitting on the riverbank with her elder sister. She notices a talking, clothed White Rabbit with a pocket watch run past, before following him down a rabbit hole when suddenly she falls a long way to a curious hall with many locked doors of all sizes. She finds a small key to a door too small for her to fit through, but through it she sees an attractive garden, or in this case the famed QE2.

The show will also include interactive experiences, including guests having the chance to take tea with the Mad Hatter and see double with Tweedledum and Tweedledee, but beware of the evil Queen of Hearts; steal her tarts and you may just lose your head!

But the fun doesn’t stop there.

Add a Pre or Post Theatre ‘Mad Hatters Tea Party’ where the family can enjoy a visit with all the Characters from Alice over a beautiful Afternoon Tea Party. Or, book onto the Alice in Wonderland brunch – taking place over the Easter weekend on Friday 19 April from 1pm-4pm. Expect an Easter egg hunt, egg and spoon races, and egg painting, alongside unlimited food and drinks. Packages start at AED 225.

Details: The show will run from 9th April – 18th April 2019, and each performance will last 1 hour 30 mins + interval. For more information, call (04) 526 888 or visit theatrebyqe2.com
