Iceland Water Park

Iceland Water Park is the biggest waterpark in the UAE. It’s perfect for a daytrip most emirates (it’s only an hour’s drive from Dubai). There’s two separate areas of attractions. One with gentle rides aimed at younger children, and separate section for thrill seekers. There’s over 30 rides in the park, along with a family beach, Olympic-sized pool along with kids’ pool areas. Best of all, one child is admitted free, when accompanied by two paying adults. Does your little one have a birthday coming up? There’s plenty of special party packages on offer too.

Ras Al-Khaimah National Museum

This incredible building was Ras Al-Khaimah’s former family home. Up until the 1960s the Al Qasimi family lived in the fort, which now houses many historical artifacts from the area. Historical documents on display include early treaties between the rules of the emirate and the United Kingdom. Other historical areas covered include the pearl and date farming in the emirate and artifacts from the early Islamic period.

Fly Fish Water Sports

This is the best place to cool down in Ras Al-Khaimah. Situated off Al Marjan Island, this watersports centre offers jet skis, banana boat rides, water skiing, wakeboarding, kitesurfing and plenty more. Little ones will also have the opportunity to spot turtles that live off the coast.

RAK Track Go Karting

RAK track offer great deals in go kart rental. There’s both kids and adults driving passes, so parents can get involved too. The junior arrive and drive pass costs AED 85 per session and children drive a Sodi LR5 160 cc cart.

Bedouin Oasis Desert Camp 

Get out of the city, and head to the dessert. Ras Al-Khaimah is surrounded by the incredible Hajar mountains. Family desert day trips include everything from dune-bashing, camel rides, to Bedouin-style desert camp dinners and live entertainment.
