Six fun family activities to celebrate the Eid holiday

Now that the Eid holiday has been confirmed, and is due to fall between Monday August 20 and Wednesday August 22 for private sector employees, we’ve put together a collection of fun-filled activities taking place across Dubai for the whole family to enjoy.

The Outlet Village, Dubai

Dubai’s indoor shopping and leisure destination by Meraas, will bring in Eid Al Adha with a host of activities and entertainment acts that put children first.

Featuring a unique kids zone with giant indoor games including a larger-than-life jenga, snakes and ladders, xoxo and kerplunk, kids will be spoilt for choice.

In addition to a soft play area, a giant trampoline and a carnival-themed stall, a dedicated movie screening area at the destination will screen all-time favourite animation films for little movie buffs.

La Perle, Al Habtoor City

Treat the whole family to Dubai’s must-see La Perle show at a discounted rate to celebrate the Eid holiday this month!

The La Perle Eid Family Package, available to purchase now for tickets to the show between August 21st – 25th, can save groups of 4-10 people at least 50 percent on Silver and Gold tickets.

Guests will be enchanted by the surreal, dream-like performance which sees 65 artists perform the impossible as they fly through the air, dive from spectacular heights, seemingly disappearing into the water below and defy gravity – an incredible spectacular, perfect for children and adults alike.

Witness fire, rain, waterfalls and a stage that floods and dries within seconds from magnificent seats that provide unparalleled views of the action.

The Dubai Mall

The Dubai Mall will transform into a celebratory playground for Eid Al Adha, with a host of exciting activities and live entertainment from 21 to 24 August.

Spend time with Sheibitna, the wise grandfather figure from Arabian folklore, as he shares his stories and wisdom. Kids will also enjoy arts and crafts, cartoon screenings, special activities in VR Park and much more.

Modhesh, Burj Khalifa

Hang out with Modhesh, Dubai Summer Surprises’ iconic mascot, on level 112 of Dubai’s iconic Burj Khalifa for a daily dose of fun on top of the world!

Modhesh will take kids through an interactive event that will transport them to the heart of Modhesh World 2018, while enjoying stunning views of Dubai from the world’s tallest building with the colourful character in this entertaining experience.

City Centre Mirdif

Visitors at City Centre Mirdif will be mesmerised by the daredevil antics of performers of the Enchanted Circus from the first day of Eid.

Agile aerialists will create a fairytale setting for the audience with their mystical costumes and graceful moves daily during Eid in 20-minute shows at 4pm, 6pm, 7.30pm and 9pm.

Fireworks at The Beach, La Mer, Dubai Festival City and Al Seef

The Beach will be hosting one firework show while La Mer will also host another at 9.30pm throughout the Eid weekend.

Dubai Festival City Mall will also put on a musical firework display at 9pm and 10.30pm on August 22 and 23 and Al Seef will also light up the sky over Dubai Creek throughout the three days of Eid from 9pm.
