Heavenly Spa – The Westin

The name of the Westin’s spa sums it up perfectly. It’s like a little piece of heaven. It’s small, cozy and
tranquil. Prior to their treatment guests can use the gym, the sauna, steam room and the Jacuzzi, which
was exactly what I did. After twenty minutes of utter relaxation, I was taken to my room for one of
the spa’s signature treatments – a 55 minute rollerssage. Before the massage began I was shown four
crystals and asked to pick two. I chose the hematite and the tiger eye for personal power, circulation
and optimism. I was then shown a brownish black basket, that they call the burden basket, and I was
asked to place all my worries, stress and anxieties in the basket. The basket was then placed outside of
the treatment room. During the massage, the crystals I selected were heated and then put inside a small
wooden roller, which was used to massage my body. The warmth of the stones and the pressure of the
massage was very relaxing and almost sent me to sleep. I left feeling completely refreshed. At the end of
my massage I was told that I could choose one of the crystals and take it away with me, which I thought
was a very nice touch. Overall, a really great massage that I would recommend to anyone who wants to
spend 55 minutes in utter heaven

The rollerssage costs Dhs 450 for 55 minutes or Dhs 595 for
85 minutes.

TOP TIP: Make sure you arrive early to make the most of the facilities and
the relaxation room.
