energy
during
pregnancy
Pregnancy brings a
long list of emotions:
excitement, joy,
anticipation. But perhaps
the most overwhelming
feeling will be exhaustion!
Not only are you the sole
provider of nourishment
for another human being,
you are also absorbed
with work, family and,
of course, preparing an
adorable nursery for your
little one to enjoy.
The Scenario
Feeling too tired to get out of the bed, let alone
meet friends for dinner is typical for pregnant
women, says Christina Doublichevitche, a clinical
dietician at Health Bay Polyclinic, especially in
those first few months when things don’t show
on the outside yet your body is pretty busy on
the inside. “And feeling queasy doesn’t make
things any better,” she says however food
choices might help boost up your energy levels
and play a big role in how you feel.
