Virgin Atlantic have launched a tongue-in-cheek new website to help expat families planning a trip to the UK this summer.

Called the ‘Brexit calculator’ the service converts your dirhams to sterling and lets you know how much you can save on various holiday attractions, from tickets to a football match (they used to cost AED 1,037per person and now cost AED 879per person) to the cost of a burger (currently down from AED 49 to AED 41).

The pound is currently at a 31-year-low, and the humorous website helps families know how much they can save on a trip to the UK this summer.

“The dirham is at a record high against the pound which means you’ll save on literally everything when you visit the UK,” says Nick Parker, head of the MENA region for Virgin Atlantic.

“The savings available on popular tourist activities such as afternoon tea or tickets to a football match more than cover the cost of a flight to London – so there has never been a better time to book a holiday to the UK,” Parker continued.
