Kathryn Jones Hand Blended Serums, or ‘KJ Serums’ for short, is a homegrown UAE success story. Conceived in 2017 and named after its owner Kathryn Jones, the Welsh-born UAE resident’s mission was to produce a range of small batch manufactured facial serums which would be fresh, effective and affordable in comparison to the big premium cosmetic brands.

“My brand and product range wasn’t planned and expertly executed by an agency” says Kathryn. “Far from it in fact. Before moving to the UAE, I had a former career making life-saving medicines in the UK and I knew I could formulate some really effective skincare serums using great raw materials and the minimum of additives and preservatives”. And so the formulas moved from the kitchen to formulating lab and eventually through testing to certification and market launch.

A natural brand progression was then to add a dedicated range for young kids and babies, and so the ‘KJ Kids Bedtime Baby’ range was created to help parents soothe their babies and little ones to sleep in a natural, stress-free way. As all mums and dads know, one of the trickiest aspects of parenting can be ensuring that little ones get adequate sleep to ensure they grow and develop properly.
