Salon du Chocolat et de la Pâtisserie returns to Dubai for its second edition

Salon du Chocolat et de la Pâtisserie celebrates its highly anticipated second edition at Le Gourmet, Galeries Lafayette in Dubai Mall.

The grand opening ceremony witnessed the distinguished presence of Marie-Laure Charrier, Deputy Consul General of France in the UAE, along with Laure Videau, licensing director of Salon du Chocolat, renowned chefs, industry experts, and esteemed members of the press.

Joumana Dammous-Salamé, the managing director of HSME and the visionary behind the event, extended a warm welcome to the esteemed guests, highlighting the significance of bringing this exhilarating event to Dubai for its second consecutive year.

This beloved show is a haven for chocolate and pastry enthusiasts, uniting professionals such as chocolate tasters, chocolatiers, enthusiasts, authors, and pastry chefs for an indulgent program of chocolate-inspired events. Anticipated to draw over 5,000 visitors until May 20, this extraordinary gathering offers a unique opportunity to connect with more than 60 exhibitors and savour the finest chocolates from acclaimed brands worldwide.

The well-known Chocolate Fashion Show will be present at the second Salon du Chocolat et de la Pâtisserie. The garments, which have been created under the subject “La Femme et la Mode,” will be unveiled at the event by thirteen fashion designers from ESMOD Dubai in collaboration with well-known pastry chefs. The event program also features the Pastry Show and Choco Démo in addition to the fashion show.

During the event, 40 pastry chefs from the city’s finest hotels will share their advice and culinary creations with guests, and 50 chefs will engage in a live cooking competition for the chance to win a trip to Salon du Chocolat Paris. Best 3D Cake Design, Best Pastry Showpiece, and the Elle & Vire Cheesecake Competition are among the competition categories.

The event is suitable for all ages, and a unique Salon du Chocolat Junior area has been created for kids to get creative with chocolate. Chocolate and pastry-focused classes will be held from 4 to 5:30 pm today at Le Gourmet’s soft play area Treasure Island, with topics ranging from fruit art to cupcake decorating and cake pop making.

With events held in 15 cities worldwide, including Beirut, Jeddah, and Dubai, Salon du Chocolat, founded in Paris in 1994, has established itself as a renowned destination for chocolate lovers.
