Empowering families: “Bounty Beets Meets Happy Families” returns

The eagerly awaited sequel of “Bounty Beets Meets Happy Families” is here. Le Meridien Mina Seyahi Beach Resort and Waterpark, in partnership with Principal Lisa and Chef Holly Parnell, invites parents and little ones to interactive workshops. Discover solutions for mealtime challenges, healthy cooking, and more. Experience a community-focused event that encourages a healthier lifestyle.

Following the resounding success of its inaugural series, “Bounty Beets Meets Happy Families” is making a highly anticipated return for its second chapter. Teaming up with Principal Lisa, renowned as the UAE’s Super Nanny, and Chef Holly Parnell, a UK MasterChef finalist and Bounty Beets Restaurant Manager, the Le Meridien Mina Seyahi Beach Resort and Waterpark is set to host a monthly event.

This event provides a platform for parents and kids to engage in interactive and educational workshops centred around diet, cooking, and transforming picky eaters into enthusiastic food explorers.

In the previous year, over a five-week span, a vibrant community of 150 individuals gathered at Bounty Beets to learn from this dynamic duo’s mission, fostering a lively sense of community around wholesome food for families with infants and young children. What originated as a pilot project between two dedicated friends, focusing on creating a menu to assist families in overcoming fussy eating habits, evolved into a strong and supportive community seeking strategies to tackle challenging meal times.

Holly and Lisa offer an immersive experience at no cost, aiming to inspire families to opt for healthier choices in their daily lives, thereby contributing to their overall well-being. This entails moving away from mundane options like dry chicken nuggets and bland chips, and embracing a variety of hidden vegetable-infused dishes.

Through these events, families will have the opportunity to connect, learn, and enjoy. With a diverse range of themes lined up, including an upcoming “Back to School” event on August 24, followed by the subsequent dates below, a world of enriching experiences awaits.

  • Thursday 24 August – Back to School
  • Thursday 14 September – Sustainable living with a family
  • Thursday 12 October – Pumpkins, eco-living and nature
  • Thursday 9 November – Getting ready for festive fun
  • Thursday 7 December – Gluten free Christmas cookie making, arts and crafts

Principal Lisa said: “I was thrilled to see all the families waiting to get through the door during the pilot phase, I knew this could work. Through my 30 years’ experience and daily visits to family homes as a Super Nanny in Dubai I know how hard families find it to feed their children every day. Chef Holly and I wanted to create an environment where we could tackle the issue of picky eating head on and get the children tasting recipes that the families could then cook at home.”

“Over the 5 weeks we ran the free project I saw children I had worked with on fussy eating gobbling up beetroot pancakes, cheese sauces made from Zucchini etc and I was amazed. It was the magic of the community feel. After every event I held a story time in the beautiful shaded garden and we shared plates of free fruit around, the children were reaching in to grab a range of fruits they had not tried before. The magic of creating the right environment for food adventurers of the future was thrilling to watch.”
